Rufaro Mavhunga joined Themba Training in 2019 to learn sewing and quickly became known for her exceptional work ethic and dedication. Originally from Zimbabwe, Rufaro is a quiet, hardworking mother of three who also cares for extended family members. Interestingly, she also loves spending time with the elderly, learning from them and giving them the attention they deserve. She brings the same compassion and wisdom to everything she does.

After completing her training, she became part of the Themba Training sewing team, where her skill, reliability, and attention to detail make her a valued member of the our sewing team.

Alongside her work at Themba Training, Rufaro has run her own small business, Nesty Baskets, for several years, creating additional opportunities to support her family and build a sustainable future.

Rufaro's story is one of perseverance, compassion, and determination, and we are proud to have her as one of our makers.
