Nonkqubela Mphakama has been part of the Themba Training sewing journey from the very beginning.

She was among the first group of students to receive sewing training when the project relocated in 2018 and later became the first officially employed member of the sewing team.

Known for her bubbly personality, infectious laughter, and willingness to embrace new challenges, Nonkqubela brings energy and positivity to our workplace every day.

A mother of five and grandmother to two, she is deeply committed to creating opportunities for her family and is constantly exploring new ways to use her creativity and skills to earn additional income.

Her experience, dedication, and joyful spirit make her an invaluable member of the IMI maker community.
